You need a dr. HDMI device which can emulate the EDID.

There are multiple modes in which this device can be used, each with advantages and disadvantages:

  • Best: Use mode 6 or 7. But for this you need to use the Windows application of dr. HDMI to copy the EDID of the V-IN to the internal memory of the Dr. HDMI
  • Alternative 1: Use mode 8, and click on the button to copy the EDID from the V-IN.
Drawback: If you (accidently) press this button any time when the V-IN is not fully operational, the previously copied EDID will be erased and the device will not work.
  • Alternative 2: Use mode 2. The drawback is that this also contains modes which are not compatible with the V-IN. But the default (1080p) is compatible.
