Below is a description of what the expected behavior should be after the LAN disconnects and reconnects.
LAN Disconnects
The audio will always continue in the room but the units will be logged out, meaning all moderated meeting features will no longer be functional:
- Agenda information on the units will no longer be available,
- Voting won’t be possible,
- All lists will be lost on the units (request list, delegate list),
- Etc.
LAN Reconnects
Free-seating Meeting with Internal Authentication:
In case of free-seating meeting with authentication badge, pin code or fingerprint, after the LAN reconnects:
- All units will be pushed out of the meeting and will require to authenticate again by inserting the badge, entering the pin code or scanning the fingerprint.
- After authentication, the units will receive all meeting information again.
Fixed-Seating Meeting:
In case of fixed-seating meeting, after the LAN reconnects:
- The screen of the Confidea FLEX units will show a “Welcome to the meeting” message.
- The screen of the uniCOS units will automatically join the active meeting.
External Authentication:
In case of external authentication meeting, after the LAN reconnects, all units will be assigned to their seat again according to the available information (command delegate on seat).

If your system is running version 6.10 or earlier, you may notice bleeding or fading on the Nameplates. This can typically be improved by allowing the system to remain powered down for an extended period.
🔧 Follow these steps:
- Power down the entire Plixus system.
- Leave the system powered off for approximately two days.
- Power the system back on.
When the system restarts, it will resend the images to the Nameplates, which should noticeably improve the display quality.
💡 Note:
Starting from version 6.11.2, this issue has been addressed. The firmware of the nameplate has been improved with measures to prevent the bleeding or fading behavior without requiring any manual intervention.
To maintain optimal system performance and prevent potential critical errors caused by prolonged continuous operation, it is recommended to perform a complete system power cycle once per month.
Please follow the steps below:
- Shut down all equipment: Plixus central unit and conference devices. If the CoCon meeting management software is in use, also shut down the CoCon PC.
- Power on all conference devices first. After 90 seconds, power on the Plixus central unit.
- Once all devices and the central unit have fully completed their boot process, power on the CoCon PC.
💡 For smaller systems, all devices may be powered on simultaneously.
